The American Dream Is the American Dream something that still "exists" today? Is it a real goal or was it someones ideal vision of the perfect life in America? In any case the American dream is a different goal that each individual has for their life in America, whether they are an immigrant or not. Many immigrants that come over to America are typically seeking a better life than they had in their previous country. For example, when my parents were coming to America their goal was to have a better life, happiness, a good job that paid well and a nice home. My parents and I came here with only two bags of clothing and we stayed with a family friend until we had enough money to move out and buy our own place. It took a lot of hard work, things didn't just come easy, my parents when given the opportunity did everything they could to achieve their perfect life here. Liberty Liberty is a very big and important concept of our country as a whole and a big topic that we discussed in our class for a few weeks. When asked what is liberty, you cannot give a straight definition because it's a very loaded question, the appropriate way would be to ask; what is liberty to you? Nowadays our society has progressively gotten better from that it was many decades and even centuries ago, there's more equality in the world and more availability to state opinions without being discriminated against. Women finally have a voice and are capable of standing up for what's right, having many options to strive for goals, living up to dreams and just being able to do as we please.
